General: The Installation and Repair Technician is responsible for:
Performs home safety assessments
Performs setup, delivery, and repair of home medical equipment and supplies
Provides instructions regarding use and care of equipment and products to patients and caregivers
Performs preventative maintenance and servicing of equipment per policy
Assists with keeping warehouse in clean, orderly fashion and in accordance with regulations
Participates in rotating after hours call schedule.
Willing to be trained in pertinent areas of equipment and supplies.
Available for home/office visits

Must be able to lift and/or move equipment weighing up to 150lbs
Warehouse/Field environment with 60% of the time standing and lifting, 10% of the time sitting while on the computer and/or phone with customers and vendors, and 30% of the time driving and making deliveries
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training in construction preferred; exposure to healthcare environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Additional Education:
- Preferred training, certification in construction
- Preferred training in plumbing
- Once hired, completion of level 1,2,3 technician certification training required within 1 year
Experience/Knowledge/Personality:
- Required mechanical and repair skills
- Required installation and at minimum, light construction skills
- Preferred skills in plumbing
- Preferred computer technology skills
- Requires positive attitude
- Able to function as a polite and cooperative team member
- Required good oral and written communication skills.
- Presents in a professional manner, clean and neat appearance

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible to set-up appointments for fittings, repairs, installations, and delivery, etc. in conjunction with customer service staff.
- Responsible to deliver equipment or make arrangements for delivery and verify fit, equipment function and performance, with complete and accurate documentation.
- Responsible complete all appropriate paperwork accurately.
- Responsible to place order for products and repair parts through purchasing department.
- Responsible for knowledge of third party reimbursement issues and documentation requirements.
- Responsible for safe operation and routine care of company vehicle.
- Assist with other deliveries and set-ups as requested by Branch Manager.
- Assist with inventory control.
- Assist with on-call per request of branch manager and time constraints.
- Attend in-store meetings.
- Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by management.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
